The night of the 3rd of September, coincidentally the last day of hungry ghost period, changed everything. It had been a v long time since i last attended scouts, let alone ventures, and when i stepped into the final official ceremony of our 'dilapidating' troop with my usual shyness, i could feel this part of me being rejuvenated....i didn't actually realise i'm pretty much a part of scouting, and the troop...even though i hadn't been that active...the camaraderie, friendship, and teamwork are just, simply-said, overwhelming. it's refreshing to see the ever-happy stress-free faces of the old scouts, still sprouting jokes that are old and yet still manage to maintain the familiar humorous aura around em... and ya, THANKS a lot for the cow balls...though i rather call them fish balls. We believe, the song u should be hearing from ur speakers now, was the song they presented, complete with acoustics and guitars. A nice, and supposedly noisy rock song, with a catchy tune and immensely meaningful lyrics. A song to wrap up 2-5 years worth of wonderful memories, left for us to reminisce and for others to listen to and learn from. The final part was a surprise. CheeHwa Sir suddenly wanted to hear some ghost stories, and a few scouts followed suit. So, there we go, in the final night, final moments of hungry ghost period, telling ourselves ghost stories in a dark room, lit by the luminous glow of a few small candles. It was really fun (not to mention scary also), hearing those encounters during NS, trip to Old Changi Hospital etc. Had to went back before 12 mdnite (haiz...) , and the guys wanted to walk with me back home for my own protection. Seriously, im touched by ur concern guys, really, coz on my way home alone...err ok nvm tell u guys some other time. anyway, Thanks a lot =) haiz never get to hear the story abt pioneer primary.... Haiz... i will miss u guys. oh ya, not forgetting chongtat...thanx for cuming been, nice talking to an old fren , who's also going through the stressful JC life. and enjoyed the superb buffet too =) The day before was yet another reunion...of the old express mates. BBQ was done quicker than usual, despite the downpour earlier tat day. i was dao-ing unlike normal times, and only stick with anshul and cheehoe, playing soccer and cricket (??!!) with them. of course, like the old days, we talked cock, joked around etc... memories of secondary school life, esp in neighbourhood schools like mine, was and would always be the best in my memory. for a very long time...
We are all the same
Human in all our ways and all our pain
(So let it be)
There’s a love that could fall down like rain
(Let us see)
Let forgiveness wash away the pain
(What we need)
And no one really knows what they are searching for
(We believe)
This world is crying for so much more
We believe(x6)
In this love
We believe(x6)
In this love
In this love
We believe
In this love
We believe
In this love
We believe
In this love
